Step 1: Prep Your Hair

The first (and arguably) most important step for the perfect blowdry is to prep with the right materials!

For this tutorial, we use:

Step 2: Add Product

On towel-dried hair, add a dime-sized amount of primer:

After the primer has been added, apply a golf-ball-sized amount of mousse to your hair:

Run your fingers all through your hair, from roots to ends, to make sure the products are evenly applied throughout.

Step 3: Dry Your Hair Without A Brush

Before you use brushes or clip your hair into sections, use the blow dryer to dry your hair about 60% of the way, for better styling results.

Step 4: Section Out Your Hair

This step is super important. Make sure to section your hair using clips. Starting at the fringe, clip your hair into 4 separate sections, the bottom section can stay down because that will be the first one to be blowdried. This will save time and help your hair look perfect!

Step 5: Blowdry!

Start at the nape of your neck, using the round brush to blowdry away from your face. Once the strand being dried is done, twist your hair into a curl using the round brush. This sounds tricky, but it is super easy and fun once you get the hang of it. Let down your other section when finished, and dry the same way.

Once you have reached the sections that cover the crown and the top of your face, use the round brush to blow dry up and away from your face, to give you extra volume and bounce.

Step 6: Final Parts

Once your hair is dried, use the cold-setting on the dryer to go over your hair and lock it all into place.
