You look in the mirror one morning and realize it’s time for a little follicle tune-up. You heard about this fancy new place that opened up nearby so you head down there to check it out. Right when you walk in you realize something is amiss.
Nobody looks you in the eye when you walk up to the desk. Finally somebody casually looks over and says, “Yeah?” You ask about getting your hair done and they cut you off – “Appointment?” You shake your head no and they roll their eyes.
Eventually you get taken back and sat in a chair. The “Hair Artist” tells you what style you’re going to get. You aren’t entirely sure it’s the best fit for you but hey, they’re the expert, right? As they get to work you try to ask a few questions and make suggestions but they just ignore you or tell you they know what they’re doing.
Finally they finish. It looks ok, you guess, though you’re sure it’s practically irreproducible at home. You get the bill and almost pass out – surely there’s no way this experience was worth that price tag!
High-End Salons
Unfortunately when people hear a salon is “high-end,” “award winning” or any number of other prestigious descriptors, they often give the impression of uncaring stylists, high prices, and no interaction between employees and guests. Oh, and probably club-level-loud electronic music and avant-garde paintings on the walls.
At Jyl Craven Hair Design, we sometimes hear after a new customer’s appointment how surprised they were at the totally guest-focused experience.
Don’t be alarmed. We’re just normal people like you and everyone you know. Sure, Jyl Craven Hair Design is the premier hair salon in North Georgia (and beyond) and our stylists have gotten global recognition for their work. But we also know our customers come first and foremost or we would not keep that status for long!
What to Expect at Jyl Craven Hair Design
When you come in, appointment or not, you’ll be greeted by warm smiling receptionists. If your stylist isn’t already ready to see you, you’ll relax in our waiting area where you can take a peek at our stylists hard at work.
Your stylist will greet you her or himself, and offer you a beverage for your comfort. Once you are changed into a smock, your stylist will sit down with you and listen to what you want , then perhaps make suggestions according to both our professional opinion and your desires. Your stylist might ask you questions about your work and lifestyle, as well as just your hair. Also, if you have any questions, we’ll answer them – before we get started.
After you’re done with your appointment, we’ll give you further tips on taking care of your fresh new look and anything else you’re curious about. We might even snap your picture to give our other stylists something to aspire to.
