I began my career in the beauty industry at a cosmetology school in Chicago while working on my associate’s degree in business. After realizing I really enjoyed working with people while using my creativity, I completed the cosmetology program. Twenty years later, I still love my profession.
Hairstyles I enjoy most have always been those involving beautiful colors, whether it’s a beautiful brunette, a bombshell blonde, or a stunning red head. I also enjoy razor cutting fun short hairstyles and working with naturally curly hair.
I love my job because of the many opportunities I’ve been provided. Previously, I was a color educator for Schwarzkopf and L`Oreal Professionnel and had the chance to work with some amazing people. Now, I’m a hair stylist full time and enjoy making my guests feel good about themselves. I love the people I work with and enjoy my career as it’s always evolving.
If my career were not in the beauty industry, it would be as an event coordinator. I feel this would be very fun and rewarding.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time and making memories with my daughter. Having cookouts with friends, spending time outdoors, caving, and being at the beach are other ways I enjoy spending time.
My dreams and aspirations are to make a difference in people’s lives. I love the beach and would like to someday vacation in Bora Bora and stay in a bungalow over the water.
